Seven dogs on a hike with Dogs Go Hiking.

Dog Camp is an outdoor doggie daycare without boundaries. Dogs are outdoor specialists; they are constantly learning through their senses.  We tap into their natural desire to explore and provide the opportunity to enhance their natural behaviors by providing a diversity of sensory and social experiences.

Dogs Go Hiking will provide your dog with the physical exercise, mental stimulation, canine companionship, pack leadership, socialization, structure, and guidance they crave—allowing you to spend more time enjoying your dog and less time feeling guilty about not being able to provide enough adventure and exercise for your four-legged best friend. 

What to expect:

  • While your dog is at Camp, they will socialize, explore, play, pack walk, sniff around, and practice basic commands and recall skills. During our off-leash time, your dog will release physical energy, learn appropriate play, receive mental stimulation, and learn impulse control. 

  • Without the confinement of a short leash or a traditional kenneled dog daycare, your dog’s body gets physical movement while on the trail (playing, swimming, climbing) and their mind is engaged and stimulated by the sights, sounds, and smells of the forest and interactions with me and other pack members.

  • Our packs are kept small to cultivate lasting canine friendships and to ensure dogs get individualized attention and care.  We spend each pack hike building confidence in each dog whether it be calmly riding in the car, learning to communicate with other dogs, or respectful play.

  • A day consists of a 3 - 4 hour walk/hike with canine friends, training on the trail, and travel time (each dog is picked up and dropped off at their home).

  • Get time back in your day AND your dog returns home happy + relaxed!

Please expect your dog to be away from home 5-6 hours.
